Meet Susie
For me, real estate has never simply been about houses. It’s about people, transitions, families, and the decisions that come with moving from one chapter of life into the next.
I began my career in the real estate industry in 1996, spending nearly 20 years in escrow before becoming a REALTOR® in 2015. That background gave me a perspective I still draw on every day. I learned to pay attention to the details, understand the moving pieces of a transaction, anticipate potential problems, and recognize just how important good communication is when people are making decisions involving their homes and their financial futures.
Today, I work with buyers and sellers throughout Arizona’s West Valley, with a particular focus on Sun City West and our active-adult communities. I also have extensive experience with acreage and rural properties, probate and trust sales, 1031 exchanges, new construction, investment properties, luxury homes, and vacant land.
But experience alone isn’t what I want people to remember about working with me.
I want my clients to know they have someone in their corner.
Sometimes that means being an educator and explaining options. Sometimes it means solving a problem, asking better questions, negotiating firmly, finding the right professional resource, or simply giving someone the space they need to make a decision without feeling pressured.
My job is not to make decisions for my clients. My job is to make sure they have the information, perspective, and representation they need to make the decision that is right for them.
A Special Connection to Retire Arizona Style
Retire Arizona Style also carries a very personal meaning for me.
The website was originally created by my dear friend and longtime real estate professional, Sharon Mason. Sharon spent decades serving her clients and building relationships throughout the community. When she became terminally ill, she asked me to continue the website and care for the clients and relationships she had built.
Her confidence in me was an extraordinary compliment and a responsibility I take very seriously.
Today, I’m honored to build upon what Sharon started while making Retire Arizona Style my own. The heart of it remains the same: providing useful information, being a trusted resource, and helping people navigate Arizona real estate with confidence.
More Than a Transaction
Some clients are excitedly buying their next home. Others are helping a parent move into assisted living, settling an estate, downsizing after decades in the same house, relocating to Arizona for retirement, or trying to figure out what comes next.
Those situations require more than opening doors and putting a sign in the yard.
They require patience, knowledge, honesty, good resources, and someone willing to listen before offering an answer.
I’m fortunate that much of my business comes from past clients, referrals, friends, and families I’ve worked with over the years. I never take that trust lightly. Whether we work together tomorrow, five years from now, or you simply need the name of a good handyman, mover, escrow company, lender, contractor, or other local resource, I want you to feel comfortable reaching out.
Real estate may be where the relationship begins.
It doesn’t have to be where it ends.
